After driving 4 hours to reach our destination in Chicago, my mom and I were already tired. She did not let me sleep in the car because she wanted me to sleep the whole 8 hours of the first plane flight.
After finding the first gate, I was off. I got to try airplane food (not as bad as most people say). They had beef with mashed potatoes, crab salad, a piece of cake, and bread.
After eating I decided to take my daily medicine. BAD IDEA. I slept about an hour until I could feel my stomach turning. I'm sure after I used up two of the barf bags the other passengers were thinking "why the heck didn't she take some motion sickness pills? Is she really that stupid?" if they only knew what it was. haha. But after all of that I got to Madrid and a nice man took me to the UM room to sleep for 3 hours until my 45 minute plane flight to Seville. After arriving in Seville, my new family welcomed me and gave me huge hugs. We had to wait on Angela a little bit so she could sign my papers in order to release me. The drive to their house was beautiful and reminded me of Florida (all the palm trees). I unpacked my things, then ate, then took a longgg nap. Later that evening me and Berta went out for Macarena's Birthday. It was so interesting to see how they celebrate. I tried a Mohito (contains alcohol) but I only tried it mom(; It had 7up, mint, lime, sugar, and alcohol.
The 5 girls and I went to walk around all of Seville. Berta named almost every building and Sophie told me the history behind all the monuments. We got some ice cream, then headed to sit on the river bank. It was a great way to end the night. Jet lag is certainly getting to me...after going to sleep at 2 am. ;D heh heh
How fun!!! I hope you took a lot of pictures. I would love to see some of the flowers and buildings. The website for the city makes it look like a museum. Does it sound like a big city or a small town? Smells??? Thinking of you when I see your sweet bedroom without you in it.
ReplyDeleteAll my love, Mom
Hey momma. I took ALOT of pictures tonight of the city. The ones on my phone from last night weren't working. I met with angela today also and she loved my presentation!

Three countries within 3 weeks? What a little jet setter you are becoming! Your crepes looked delicious! Have you thought about keeping a journal that you write in Spanish only? It will always bring you back to this place & time. HUGS
