Hoy en Día, un Recorrido de Sevilla y de la Catedral (today, a tour of Seville and the cathedral)

Today, Berta, Fernando, and I went to tour the "inside" of the cathedral. It was built around 700 years ago and took 200 years to make. There were so many artifacts and things to learn.

The Tomb of Christopher Columbus ladies and gentlemen!!
Dad...you would of loved touring this place. They even had all the signs in English!

Here is where the chorus would sing, and the table in front is an altar. They had a huge organ on the side of this room. The oldest and biggest in the world.

A baptism bath.

Part of the oldest and largest organ. This is only one side!

The architecture and detailing of the ceilings were amazing.

After the cathedral, Berta and I decided to go up inside the Giralda (bell tower) in order to see all of Seville!! There were 35 ramps. ugh haha

The restaurant with the pool is where we went on Thursday to see the Giralda at night.

One of the bells went off while we were up there!!! Sooo many people

  1. WOW This really looks amazing. It seems so intricate. I'm sure the pictures pale in comparison to seeing it in person. I think they had to get tickets for his way in advance didn't they? Beautiful. Thanks for sharing

  2. Yeah it was amazing! actually, since we went early enough, we got tickets easily. If you are a native of Seville you don't have to pay, just show your ID. So nothing much to reserve. But! i'm about to put on what we did last night! A fashion exhibit!
